Rosehill Theatre celebrated it's fortieth birthday in September 1999. Built by Sir Nicholas Sekers, with an interior designed by Oliver Messel, Rosehill's reputation was built on classical music and drama. Whilst maintaining these traditions, the scope of performance has been expanded to cover the range of Performing Arts - classical, folk, jazz, and rock music, drama and dance for adults and children, and film.
The theatre takes its name from that of the handsome 18th Century house in the grounds of which the theatre is to be found. The house has a long garden front and a boldly forward-curving centre containing the entrance which is flanked by Greek Doric columns.
The addition of the Bistro and Barn facilities enhance the attraction of this delightful theatre.
